Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup honey

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, almond flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk until smooth.
  7. Fold in the honey for added sweetness.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
