  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Pumpkin puree
  • 1 tbsp Orange food coloring
  • 1 tbsp Black food coloring
  • 1 cup Whipped cream

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat together the eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, milk, and pumpkin puree until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool completely. Once cooled, frost the cake with whipped cream and use orange and black food coloring to decorate in a spooky pumpkin patch theme.
  7. Use piping bags to add decorative elements like pumpkin vines, faces, or other spooky designs.
