  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg, and 1/2 teaspoon of ginger.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together 1/2 cup of butter and 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy. Add 3 eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
