Ingredients
  

  • 1 can pumpkin puree
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp cloves

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, eggs, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture, stirring until fully combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
