  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and pumpkin puree, mixing until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
