Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups unsalted butter room temperature
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp orange zest freshly grated
  • ½ cup fresh orange juice
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and orange zest.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Add the orange juice and mix until smooth. Do not overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and smooth the top. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. If desired, drizzle with an orange glaze before serving.
