Ingredients

Cake Base
  • 2 cups crumbled cake any flavor, leftover or freshly baked
  • 1/2 cup frosting vanilla or chocolate
Coating & Decoration
  • 1 cup melting chocolate or candy melts for dipping
  • sprinkles or crushed nuts for decoration
  • cake pop sticks

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Cake Pop Sticks
  • Microwave

Method

  1. In a large bowl, crumble the cake into fine crumbs using your hands or a fork.
  2. Add the frosting gradually and mix until the texture resembles dough that holds its shape when pressed.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch each) and place them on a lined tray.
  4. Insert a cake pop stick halfway into each ball, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until firm.
  5. Melt the chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate, rotating gently to coat evenly.
  7. Decorate with sprinkles or nuts before the coating hardens, then let them set upright in a foam block or cup.
