Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- Add buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Pour half the batter into the pan. Dollop cream cheese mixture and raspberry jam over it.
- Spoon remaining batter on top and swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before slicing.

Experiment with different jams—blueberry, apricot, or strawberry all work wonderfully.
