Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar packed
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips optional, for mixing in
  • to taste Halloween-themed decorations such as candy corn, sprinkles, or icing for decoration

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy and smooth.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. If desired, fold in chocolate chips for extra sweetness.
  7. Pour the dough into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cookie cake to cool completely before decorating with Halloween-themed decorations such as candy corn, sprinkles, or icing.
