Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups candy melts orange, green, and white
  • 20 pieces cake pop sticks

Equipment

  • Cake Pop Sticks
  • Candy Melts

Method

  1. Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions and bake as directed. Let the cake cool completely.
  2. Once cooled, crumble the cake into fine crumbs and mix with softened butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar to form a dough-like consistency.
  3. Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and insert the cake pop sticks into each ball.
  4. Dip each cake pop into the candy melts, fully coating the cake. For spooky Halloween decorations, use orange candy melts for pumpkins, green for Frankenstein's monsters, and white for ghosts.
  5. Place the finished cake pops in a styrofoam block to allow them to cool and set. Once set, they are ready to serve!
