- Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions and bake as directed. Let the cake cool completely.
- Once cooled, crumble the cake into fine crumbs and mix with softened butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar to form a dough-like consistency.
- Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and insert the cake pop sticks into each ball.
- Dip each cake pop into the candy melts, fully coating the cake. For spooky Halloween decorations, use orange candy melts for pumpkins, green for Frankenstein's monsters, and white for ghosts.
- Place the finished cake pops in a styrofoam block to allow them to cool and set. Once set, they are ready to serve!
