- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
- Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions. Bake the cake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely. Once cooled, crumble the cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl, beat together the butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Mix the frosting into the cake crumbs until it becomes a dough-like consistency.
- Roll the cake mixture into small balls and place them on a tray lined with parchment paper.
- Dip the ends of cake pop sticks into melted black candy melts and insert them into the cake balls to help secure the sticks.
- Freeze the cake pops for 30 minutes to firm up.
- Once frozen, dip the cake pops into melted orange candy melts, coating them completely. Allow excess to drip off.
- Decorate the cake pops with Halloween sprinkles or spooky designs. Let the cake pops set before serving.
