- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round cake pans.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and pumpkin puree, mixing well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the cakes cool.
- To make the frosting, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Frost the cooled cakes.
- Decorate with Halloween-themed decorations, such as orange sprinkles or edible spider webs, to make the cake spooky and cute!
