- Crumble the baked cake into a large bowl until no large pieces remain.
- Add frosting gradually, mixing with your hands until the mixture becomes dough-like and holds its shape.
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch wide, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Insert a cake pop stick into each ball and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm them up.
- Melt the chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each cake ball into the melted chocolate, rotating gently to coat evenly. Let the excess drip off.
- Before the coating sets, decorate with sprinkles or cookie crumbs. Place the pops upright in a foam block or stand until dry.
