  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1 batch Frosting (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spread the cookie dough into the prepared pan and press it down evenly.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on the edges. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. If desired, frost the top with your favorite frosting and decorate with sprinkles or extra chocolate chips.
