- Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions and bake as directed. Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Once cooled, crumble the cake into small pieces in a large bowl.
- Mix the crumbled cake with softened butter and cream cheese until the mixture becomes dough-like and holds together.
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and insert a cake pop stick into each ball.
- Dip each cake pop into the melted candy melts, fully coating the cake. You can use different colored candy melts for a festive touch.
- Place the cake pops on a baking sheet lined with wax paper and allow them to set for at least 30 minutes.
- Once set, decorate the cake pops with sprinkles or other edible decorations. Serve and enjoy!
