Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Apple cider
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup Cinnamon sugar (for topping)

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the apple cider and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Once the cake is done, remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before sprinkling with cinnamon sugar. Serve warm or at room temperature.
