Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the apple cider and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once the cake is done, remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before sprinkling with cinnamon sugar. Serve warm or at room temperature.
