Ingredients
  

Cake Batter
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Buttercream Frosting
  • 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter softened
  • 5 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
Decoration
  • fresh flowers optional

  • Electric mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease 8-inch and 6-inch pans.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one by one, mixing well.
  4. Mix in vanilla, then alternately add flour and milk until smooth.
  5. Divide batter between pans. Bake 30–35 minutes.
  6. Beat buttercream ingredients together until creamy.
  7. Frost cakes, stack tiers, and decorate with flowers and candles.
